Job Description
As a Security Officer - Entry Gate Driver in Deer Park TX you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and/or petrochemical location you will help manage entry points verify credentials support badging and monitor assigned areas to help reduce security-related incidents. You will remain visible conduct routine patrols as needed and provide strong customer service and communication. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to onsite personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities.
- Control access at gates lobbies and/or checkpoints by verifying identification issuing visitor credentials managing sign-in logs and directing individuals to approved areas.
- Monitor and document vehicle and delivery access for a chemical and petrochemical location including verifying shipping and receiving appointments and reporting irregularities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner communicating promptly with site contacts and emergency services as directed by post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings process-adjacent areas and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access identify unusual conditions and complete required reports.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A TSA issued TWIC is required.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
