About the role:
As an Engineering Lead you will lead manage and inspire your teamdevelopingsoftware and tools for efficient delivery. Through hands-on leadershipyoullhelp the team fulfill technical operational and business requirements. You will drive engineering best practices implementation development processdeliveryand operation of the teams products.
What You will do:
- Being the line manager for the team providing frequent feedback on performance setting goals and supporting the team members career development.
- Ensure continuously performing and motivated team delivering highly efficient and predictable outcomes to the business.
- Work together with Product Managers to build roadmap specify requirements and prioritize work according to the business objectives.
- Technical ownership of the product component from design development quality assurance production and operational readiness.
- Align available resources with product roadmap facilitate workload planning communicate risks and dependencies within program and business stakeholders resolve any obstacles for the team to secure efficient performance and delivery.
- Represent team to outside stakeholders ensuring the expectations are set properly and the team delivers on promise. Furthermore ensure accurate reporting including keeping the work management system updated.
- Ensure the facilitation and efficient output of all agile ceremonies in the team. Ensure the team embraces adopts and applies agile practices.
- Assist team members in solving work-related difficulties provide direct contribution and guidance on approaching process and technical challenges.
- Continuously drive process improvements within the team.
- Hires and onboards people with the right technical skills and values and adhere to internal SLAs.
What You Need to Succeed:
Technical excellence
- 5 years hands-on engineering experience as a developer or QA on a software engineering team
- Fluency in one or more programminglanguagespreferablyC#orJavaScript.
- Strong knowledge of engineering processes andpracticesanddesign patterns.
- Proven ability todig into engineering solutions review engineering practices in the team review code take direct lead in coding challenges or design discussions.
People and team management
- 2 years experience managing or mentoring a team with direct reports.
- Practical experience with career planning and development goals management coaching team dynamics management hiring andretainingtalent.
Project management
- Proventrack recordof shipped projects coordinated and managed by the candidate isa must.
- Practical experience with Agile frameworks like ScrumSAFe Kanban XP
- Excellence in process and project management continuous improvements of team and group related processes effectivestakeholdersmanagement team status communication mitigation of team risks and impediments.
Business and user context
- Ability to dig into businessobjectives navigate through market needs andend-usersneeds easily partner with product managerparticipatein roadmap creation advocate customer and end-user needs focus on solutions efficiency andquality.
