What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff residents and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas including common spaces entrances and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Monitor access points observe for unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized entry loitering and/or disruptive behavior while maintaining a professional presence.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including disturbances medical calls and/or property concerns and coordinate with site leadership and public responders as directed.
- Document patrols incidents and observations in written reports and/or electronic systems and communicate relevant information during shift briefings and post handoffs.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
