The timeframe for this summer internship is: May 11 2026 - August 7 2026
What you get to do:
- Park tours with members of your leadership team
- Planned meeting sessions with members of your leadership team
- Interns will have the experience of front-line involvement overseeing a team of employees and providing guidance and direction to their team as they interact with thousands of guests daily
Daily Responsibilities:
Help lead and inspire a team to deliver great guest experiences from the get-go. Youll model and perform the highest standards of service as you foster a positive atmosphere for everyone you come into contact with.
Get ready to help us show our best right when guests first show up! You will supervise train and counsel Ambassadors and perform the job duties youre supervising in Guest Arrival areas such as:
- Ensure a safe environment for all ambassadors guests and animals
- Responsible for the development of OJTs and ambassadors by providing training feedback and coaching.
- Ensure compliance to all state/federal regulations park policies and department procedures
- Create and maintain units team rotation grid
- Maintain the highest level of cleanliness in the park conduct quality inspections of assigned areas and follow up on any opportunities to improve
- Respond to guest and ambassador needs
- Report to Supervisors and Managers regarding the status of projects
- Oversee completion of daily opening and closing procedures
- Utilize problem solving skills to ensure positive guest resolutions as needed
- Oversee assigned operating area
- Ensure strict adherence to all cash handling procedures
- Perform other miscellaneous tasks as required
What it takes to succeed:
- Currently pursuing a college degree
- Commit to working through the 2025 peak operating season (mid May mid August)
- Flexible availability (schedules include nights weekends and holidays).
- Excellent human relations and communication skills
- Previous leadership or theme park experience is a plus
- Excellent computer skills ability to work multiple selling systems preferred
- Previous cash handling experience preferred
- Valid state drivers license and be able to obtain a company drivers license
- At least 18 years old
- Ability to to complete provided CPR/AED training/certification
- Ability to be trained and certified at all attractions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortability speaking in front of large groups of guests and ambassadors
- Ability to remain calm and professional during challenging situations
- Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to bend and stoop to assist in cleaning the park
- Ability to lift 25 pounds and push/pull 50 pounds
- Ability to able to climb stairs
- Ability to walk in sand
- Ability to work comfortably outdoors at heights up to 150 feet
- Ability to assist in ride testing by riding all park rides
- Ability to operate in a cash handling environment
