Job Summary

The Evansville Courier & Press part of the USA TODAY NETWORK is seeking an energetic and passionate reporter to join our team to create impactful sports stories from southwestern emphasize high school sports coverage but also keep up with a pair of mid-major Division I athletic programs in the city. As part of a two-person team this reporter will be expected to cultivate sources from schools big and small across the area to help produce weekly features enterprise and area-wide content. The Courier & Press is one of 10 newspapers owned by Gannett and the USA TODAY Network across Indiana and we collaborate frequently for statewide content and championship coverage. Southern Indiana is competitive in multiple classes at the state level so your work has a chance to be seen beyond the in the southwestern corner of Indiana along the Ohio River Evansville is centrally located among a host of larger Midwest cities all within a three-hour drive including Indianapolis Louisville Nashville and St. Louis.
