Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare servicesto the Missouri Department of Corrections.
We are currently seeking a full-time Activity Technician to join our team in the Special Rehabilitation Unit (SRU) at Farmington Correctional Centerlocated in Farmington Missouri.
The Activity Technician is under the direction of professional mental health staff and uses recreational/social/vocational activities to accomplish treatment objectives foster skill building and problem solving in support of psychological stabilization for patients in a correctional setting.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Social Sciences i.e. psychology social work or counseling or related field is preferred
- Specific training in recreational therapy is preferred
- National Certification Council for Activity Professionals certification preferred
- Experience working in a correctional mental health setting preferred
- Training experience or certification as an aide medical technician EMT or activities technician preferred
- Must have an active CPR and Basic Life Support certification
- Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable
Available Shift:Monday-Friday Days 7:30am-4:00pm
