MalaceHR is seeking a skilled and dependable Industrial Plumber to support facility operations through preventative and corrective maintenance of plumbing and related mechanical systems within an industrial environment. This role is responsible for maintaining the safety reliability and performance of plumbing infrastructure across assigned facilities.
The ideal candidate has hands-on industrial plumbing experience strong troubleshooting abilities and the capability to work independently while supporting a broader maintenance team.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial plumbing systems.
Maintain and repair plumbing components including toilets urinals lavatories flush valves sinks drains water heaters piping systems and sump pumps.
Diagnose and repair leaks clogs pressure issues and system malfunctions.
Assist with maintenance of related mechanical systems as needed.
Inspect maintain and document fire extinguishers and other life-safety systems.
Support general facility maintenance tasks including minor carpentry painting and repairs to walls flooring fixtures roofing systems and lighting.
Maintain and repair locks locking mechanisms door hardware and related building components.
Prioritize and execute preventative maintenance (PM) corrective and emergency work orders (annual monthly weekly and daily).
Update work order status in real time using a CMMS system.
Escalate issues or system concerns to management in a timely manner.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 1 year of related experience in industrial plumbing mechanical systems carpentry or electrical work.
Experience working with hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Working knowledge of piping systems valves pumps and drainage systems.
Proficiency in basic computer applications such as MS Office Outlook and CMMS systems (e.g. Maximo or similar).
Preferred Qualifications
Journeyman plumbing experience or equivalent hands-on industrial experience.
Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with Building Automation Systems (BAS).
EPA Universal Certification (a plus).
