Role Profile

Position: Production Technician

Job Location: Cleveland OH

Job Type:Full-Time

Status:Non-Exempt

Summary of the Role

This position is responsible for a variety of manufacturing or distribution-based tasks as well as driving and delivering products to customers in a safe timely and professional manner. This position may include assembling and manufacturing sales orders picking products from the warehouse shipping and receiving.

Responsibilities

• Must maintain 100% commitment to safety policies and procedures

• Delivers products to customers and responsible for returning all completed delivery paperwork to the branch in a timely and accurate manner

• Assembles products to company customer and manufacturers standards

• Performs all product testing to quality standards as required by the customer and per company work instruction

• Receives incoming shipments into inventory posts in online system and places items in warehouse.

• Picks product in warehouse and prepares items for delivery or shipping

• Operates mechanical equipment hand tools forklifts and picking lifts (if applicable)

• Assists with physical inventory

• Makes recommendations to management with respect to product and process improvements

• Perform other duties as trained and qualified for

Skills and Abilities

• Applicants should possess the ability to interact with team members in a professional manner

• Must have good communication skills

• Requires basic math skills including addition subtraction multiplication and division in units of measure

• Basic mechanical skills including the use of hand tools

• Basic computer skills preferred including email and internet

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older

• A valid drivers license and a clean driving record

• 1-3 years of related warehousing or production experience

• A high school diploma or GED

• Reliable transportation is a must

• Ability to safely drive a Company truck or other mechanical equipment

• Ability to work nights and weekends as required

• Ability to work overtime as required

• Background checks and drug screening may be required (by Company Customer or DOT requirements in working on-site and operating equipment as required or permitted by law)

Preferred Qualifications

• Industrial setting experience

• B2B Delivery experience desired

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

This position includes a mix ofwarehouseand customer site environmentsmay involve exposure to a range of environmental conditionsincludingfluctuating temperatures (both hot and cold) varying noise levels exposure to dust and other typical elements of an active industrial environment. • Ability to pull push grasp bend lift and carry up to 50lbsindependently on a repeated items may be moved with team assistance or mechanical aid.

• Ability to work at varying work-surface levels and machine operation heights.

• Ability to move above or below workstations or retrieve items from various heights.

• Ability to count measure and record data accurately.

• Ability to inspect products and materials to detect imperfections defects or irregularities and ensure quality and compliance.

• Ability toproperly and safely use mechanical equipment and tools including forklifts pallet jacks and other warehouse machinery (training and certification may be required).

• Ability to enter and exit a service vehicle and other mechanical equipment multiple times per day.

• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves safety glasses steel-toed footwear hearing protection or hard hats depending on task or site conditions.
