Job Description
As a Security Officer - Flex Gate Attendant in Carlsbad NM you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
- Control access at entry points by verifying identification issuing temporary credentials managing visitor and contractor logs and directing traffic flow in accordance with site requirements.
- Conduct screening of personnel vehicles and deliveries as assigned including checking paperwork coordinating with site contacts and reporting irregularities through established channels.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including de-escalation support notification of site leadership and accurate documentation.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings process areas and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity identify hazards and/or policy violations and report maintenance or operational concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
