DescriptionChubb is seeking an experienced Underwriter to join our Construction Casualty Underwriting Team. Youll work with some of the largest and most complex tier 1 contractors infrastructure/civil projects middle market contractors and specialist construction businesses across the UK Ireland and internationally. This is a high-impact role with responsibility for growing and managing a diverse portfolio partnering with key national independent and wholesale brokers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Underwrite new and renewal business in line with Chubbs underwriting guidelines budgets and local business plans.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers internal stakeholders and external clients representing Chubbs brand and values.
- Proactively service key producers and clients through regular engagement focusing on business acquisition retention and cross-selling opportunities.
- Contribute to the development and execution of underwriting strategy portfolio management and forecasting to achieve profitability targets.
- Ensure quality control and compliance within your area of responsibility including timely and accurate policy documentation and quotations.
- Mentor and coach junior colleagues fostering a high-performing underwriting team.
- Allocate resources effectively to meet business objectives.
