Job Summary Support the corporate engineering team in scheduling planning forecasting resourcing and managing technical activities to ensure project accuracy and quality from inception to completion.
Essential Functions
- Design specify procure install and provide start-up support for facilities process equipment site improvements and new operationsincluding scopes of work equipment quotes and selection bid packages timetables engineering and construction contractor selection equipment purchases and cost control.
- Provide technical support to plant operations including process design operating procedures troubleshooting and improvement opportunities.
- Support pilot plant programs by designing equipment writing procedures and test methods analyzing data and preparing reports.
- Perform basic material and energy balances equipment design calculations environmental modeling geo-technical analysis and data analysis using manual and computer-aided methods.
- Coordinate designs with Environmental Transportation and Safety teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
- 15 years of relevant experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong decision-making leadership time management and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work on multi-discipline projects and adapt to changing requirements in a small organization (from hands-on tasks to process engineering and construction supervision).
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office.
- Solid knowledge of engineering theory and design criteria.
Physical Demands
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders and work around industrial equipment.
- 2550% travel required (depending on project load).
- Ability to wear and work in Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas.
- Extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
