The Vice President of Clinical Education provides enterprise-wide leadership for the development implementation and evaluation of clinical education strategies across a multiservice line healthcare organization. This role ensures nursing and clinical staff are prepared to deliver safe high-quality evidence-based care across diverse care settings. The VP partners with executive leadership service line leaders and quality teams to standardize education advance workforce competency and support organizational growth and regulatory compliance.
Enterprise Clinical Education Strategy
- Leads the development and execution of a unified clinical education strategy across multiple service lines and care settings.
- Aligns education initiatives with organizational goals patient outcomes quality metrics and workforce planning.
- Ensures consistency in clinical education standards while allowing for service-line specific requirements.
Program Development & Oversight
- Oversees education programs including onboarding continuing education specialty training leadership development and competency validation.
- Standardizes orientation clinical pathways and competency frameworks across service lines.
- Leverages technology simulation and innovative learning modalities to enhance clinical education delivery.
Nursing & Clinical Excellence
- Serves as a senior nursing leader ensuring education supports clinical practice standards and scope of practice requirements.
- Collaborates with clinical leaders to identify skill gaps and implement targeted education interventions.
- Promotes evidence-based practice and professional development across all clinical disciplines.
Quality Safety & Compliance
- Ensures clinical education programs meet regulatory accreditation and licensure requirements (e.g. ACHC CMS state boards of nursing).
- Partners with Quality Risk and Compliance teams to address clinical performance patient safety and survey readiness.
- Leads remediation competency validation and performance improvement education initiatives as needed.
Leadership & Team Development
- Leads mentors and develops a system-wide clinical education team.
- Fosters a culture of continuous learning accountability and clinical excellence.
- Supports succession planning career pathways and workforce retention through strong education programs.
Collaboration & External Partnerships
- Establishes partnerships with academic institutions professional organizations and clinical training vendors.
- Supports recruitment pipelines and clinical placement programs.
- Represents the organization in external clinical education and nursing leadership forums.
Budget & Resource Management
- Develops and manages the education budget across service lines.
- Evaluates and implements learning management systems simulation resources and education vendors.
- Ensures cost-effective use of resources while scaling education programs enterprise wide.

Demonstrated ability to lead system-level initiatives and influence executive and clinical leaders.
- Required License: Unencumbered Colorado Nursing License. Valid Colorado drivers license and proof of automobile insurance in accordance with state statute.
