As a Locum Trauma Surgeon you will play a critical role in our team by delivering specialized surgical interventions and managing complex trauma cases. Responsibilities
- Perform surgical procedures related to trauma and emergency cases
- Evaluate and manage patients in both pre-operative and post-operative settings
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop patient care plans
- Provide on-call surgical services as required
- Document all patient interactions and surgical procedures accurately
- Stay current with best practices and advancements in trauma surgery
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department
- Educate patients and families regarding surgical procedures and recovery
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Massachusetts
- Experience in trauma surgery preferably in an acute care setting
- Strong surgical skills and proficiency in trauma procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment
