Project Buyer
Do you want to play a key role in launching new products and ensuring that our supply chain is robust costefficient and strategically aligned We are looking for a Project Buyer who thrives at the intersection of project work strategy analysis and supplier development.
About the position
As a Project Buyer you will be a central member of our KBDNPI project teams responsible for all purchasing-related activities from the early development phase through to a successful SOP. You will actively contribute to ensuring that projects meet their targets for cost quality timing and supplier strategy.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary Purchasing representative in KBDNPI projects
- Prepare cost and lead-time estimates in early project phases
- Ensure supplier capacity quality and on-time delivery throughout the project
- Coordinate handover to Product Buyers at project completion
- Analyze quotations and conduct price and terms negotiations based on the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) principle
- Evaluate suppliers production and delivery capabilities (capacity risk process)
- Identify and leverage consolidation opportunities and negotiation synergies across projects
- Contribute to cost optimization and standardization
- Purchase prototypes tools samples and development materials
- Follow up on supplier documentation QAP/PreQAP in cooperation with SQD
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of commercial experience preferably within the automotive industry
- Experience with project purchasing supplier negotiations and LTA agreements
- Strong understanding of supply chain risk analysis and cost structures
- Excellent negotiation and analytical skills
- Experience with ERP systems and purchasing administration
