Position Title: CPR & Basic Life Support (BLS) Trainer
Employment Type: Freelance / Contract / Full-Time
Training Mode: Onsite (Hospital/Corporate/Institution) / Blended (Theory Practical)
Position Overview
We are seeking a certified and experienced CPR Trainer to design and deliver structured training programs on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
The trainer will be responsible for equipping healthcare professionals and/or non-medical staff with the knowledge and hands-on skills required to respond effectively during cardiac arrest and life-threatening emergencies. The program should emphasise practical demonstrations real-time simulations and competency-based assessments to ensure participant confidence and readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver comprehensive CPR & BLS training modules (adult child and infant CPR as applicable).
Conduct hands-on practical sessions using mannequins and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) trainers.
Educate participants on recognising cardiac arrest activating emergency response systems and performing high-quality chest compressions.
Train participants on airway management basics and rescue breathing techniques.
Demonstrate proper AED usage and safety precautions.
Conduct scenario-based simulations to assess real-time response skills.
Evaluate participants through practical assessments and written tests (if required).
Provide feedback and corrective guidance during practical sessions.
Maintain training documentation attendance records and certification reports.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of CPR BLS and emergency response protocols.
Practical expertise in conducting hands-on life support training.
Ability to demonstrate high-quality chest compressions and AED usage effectively.
Excellent communication and instructional skills.
Capability to train both healthcare professionals and non-medical staff.
Ability to manage practical simulations and skill evaluations.
Knowledge of emergency response systems within hospital or corporate environments.
Educational Qualification
. Nursing / GNM / Paramedical Degree / MBBS or equivalent healthcare qualification preferred.
Valid CPR/BLS Instructor Certification from a recognized body (mandatory).
ACLS certification is an added advantage.
