Job Description

The Department of Family & Community Medicine of the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University is currently accepting candidates for the position ofThe Jefferson Fellowship in LGBTQIA Health

This position is for a 1 year non-ACGME accredited fellowship position in LGBTQIA Health to be hired as a 0.6 clinical FTE full-time clinical faculty memberto split clinical time at Jefferson Family Medicine Associates and Jefferson Pride Care (Haddonfield NJ).

Responsibilities will include:

  • Providing clinical care in the areas of family medicine HIV primary care and LGBTQIA health including gender-affirming care
  • Establishing and maintaining a panel of primary care patients managing chronic health conditions acute conditions and preventive care.
  • Additional educational clinical experiences working in HIV primary care with FM IM ID clinicians LGBTQIA care with affirming medical subspecialists behavioral health and allied health professionals
  • Engaging in quality improvement efforts and clinical services program development across the Jefferson enterprise in LGBTQIA care
  • At-home telephone call 5-9PM once monthly in a large DFCM pool of call participants.
  • Working as part of interprofessional team (includingMA RNs behavioral health social workers population health specialists)that provides patient-centered care.
  • Teaching resident physicians and medical students in the area of LGBTQIA care & HIV care

Requirements:Qualified applicants will hold a MD or DO degree and be board certified or eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. Must have or obtain a PA and NJ medical license. Academic appointment and salary will be commensurate with experience. Jefferson offers competitive salaries and comprehensive benefit package.
