Whats the role

As a Senior Risk Analyst you will play a key role in protecting the Westpac Group from financial crime including money laundering terrorism financing and other illicit activity. You will take full ownership of complex investigations endtoend with a high level of autonomy and accountability for outcomes. Working exclusively with Westpac Institutional Bank customers across multiple jurisdictions (including Australia the UK the US and Germany) you will conduct both transaction monitoring and enhanced customer due diligence for the Groups most sophisticated and highrisk customer profiles using stateoftheart monitoring and analytics tools.

This is a fastgrowing team offering strong exposure responsibility and genuine opportunities for career progression as you collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to identify investigate and escalate financial crime risks in line with regulatory requirements and Westpac Group policies.

What do I need

  • Experience in Institutional Banking with strong knowledge of Corporate and Institutional Banking products.
  • Demonstrated experience in Institutional Transaction Monitoring and Enhanced Customer Due Diligence
  • Knowledge of financial crime typologies for institutional banking products and services i.e. trade finance foreign exchange markets corporate lending facilities commodities etc
  • Demonstrated experience in relationship building and management for internal stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to risk management
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail
