Student Worker Norman Leonard Student Research Grant

Purpose/Objective of the Role:
Prof. Gitter of the EconomicsDepartment is looking for a student to work withhim as part of the Norman Leonard Endowed Student Research Grant.The project is investigating the share of pet owners that spend money on veterinary services.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
The student would take quarterly data on households from the Consumer ExpenditureSurvey and organize it into annual data. The survey contains over 5000 households and the veterinary expenditure data will need to be appended to data on the households income and demographic characteristics from the survey. The main focus will be on the most recent years data but similar analyses will be conducted for earlier years.
