Job Summary
As a Senior System Administrator you will:
- Investigate diagnose and solve system related problems.
- Install and upgrade infrastructure software including monitoring solutions and perform test upgrades.
- Install maintain and support the organizations Data centre hardware infrastructure (Servers enclosure UPS patch panel tape library cabling etc.).
- Schedule installation work to minimize disruption.
- Monitor diagnose and solve hardware or software problems.
- Comply with organizational procedures to ensure integrity and security of the system.
Qualifications :
What would make you a fit for the role:
- University degree in Computer Science or other relevant field and at least 10 years of relevant experience.
- In-depth knowledge of Data centre hardware infrastructure.
- In-depth knowledge of Windows/Linux server operating systems.
- In-depth knowledge of hypervisor solutions (VMWare/Hyper-V).
- In-depth knowledge of network storage (SAN/NAS NetApp/EMC).
- In-depth knowledge of central backup.
- Experience with racking cabling connecting hardware in data centres.
- Experience with advanced troubleshooting and ability to work independently.
It would also be a plus if you have some of the following certifications:
- SolarWinds Certified Professional
- MCSE/MCSA : Windows Server 2012 or above
- Microsoft Azure administrator
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or above
- Linux Professional Institute LPIC-1 or above
- ITIL Certification
- Oracle Certified Professional Oracle Linux
- VMware Certified Professional 5 Cloud Management and Automation (VCP5-CMA) or above
- NetApp Certified Data Administrator
- Dell Systems Administrator (DCS-SA) / Platform Engineer (DCS-PE)
- Disaster Recover Certified Specialist (DRCS)
