Global Seed Production Planner

Into action

Within our Global Seed Production Planning team you will create and maintain a global long-term tactical production plan for all Brassicas and provide coordination along the E2E supply chain. To further optimize inventory and maintain the supply/demand balance with a specific focus on cost & supply chain responsiveness. The production planner is an operational element of the Crop teams and ensures the supply of seeds to customers all over the world.    

The challenge

Supplying seeds to our customers on time at the right quality and in the right volume is critical for our business. As Seed Production Planner you act on the sales forecast from our Demand Planning team. You are in contact with your key global colleagues within P&S. And have intensive contact with our Marketing and Sales colleagues around the world.

You understand the market dynamics trends and changes in the variety assortment.

You decide on how much seeds to produce your P&S colleagues decide on how and where to produce. You continuously interact with our Regional Supply teams to optimize supply to our customers. You act right in the heart of our operations and are reallyon top of things. Identify future supply constraints before they become real problems and develop options for their resolution. Your primary goal is customer centricity by maintaining and continuously optimizing our long-term inventory position. 

Together with your fellow Seed Production Planners you actively work on further improving the seed production planning process with support of big data

Qualifications :

• The successful candidate has a broad knowledge of Planning and Supply Chain processes within seeds
• And has a Bachelors degree in Logistics or related field.
• You have shown to be an analytical thinker with an excellent feel for numbers.
• You are a pro-active team player who is able to work with colleagues across varying backgrounds from the workplace till Senior Management in the different time-zones.
• You are willing and able to travel internationally incidentally fluent in English and have excellent communication and reporting skills. You will be based in Enkhuizen.
