Job Schedule: 1st Shift 5/8s M-F (Rotational 1 week days/1 week nights)
Job Description:
The Field Engineering Specialist will be responsible for performing aircraft servicing inspections troubleshooting and repair of all aircraft systems in accordance with applicable technical data.
Essential Functions:
- Towing and positioning aircraft.
- Flying with the aircraft to provide off station maintenance support removes and installs aircraft avionics hydraulic components landing gear tires and struts.
- Performing engine removals and installations.
- Checking for work correctness.
- Analyzes equipment failures to determine cause and recommends corrective action in accordance with applicable aircraft maintenance manuals.
- Implements preventive maintenance programs documents performance and maintenance records on aircraft and equipment.
- Willing and able to lift bend and climb.
- Required travel to CONUS and OCONUS up to 50%.
- Daily interface with customers at numerous levels.
- Use Understand and interpret a wide variety of technical data from OEM manuals to engineering drawings.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work alone or within a group.
- Able to work extended hours and weekends when required.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree with four (4) years of experience performing aircraft servicing inspections troubleshooting and repair of all aircraft systems.
- Graduate Degree with two (2) years of experience performing aircraft servicing inspections troubleshooting and repair of all aircraft systems.
- In lieu of a degree minimum of eight (8) years of experience performing aircraft servicing inspections troubleshooting and repair of all aircraft systems.
- Will be required to Maintain flight status requirements.
- Must have a valid A&P License.
- Must be able to pass FAA Class III flight physical and complete altitude chamber training within the first 3-6 months.
- Valid Drivers License is required.
- Must have an active Secret DoD Clearance at the time of hire.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Boeing 737/C40.
- Boeing Aircraft/CFM56.
