Role Overview

Our Year Out Placements are a great opportunity to explore what its like to work at RLB gain handson experience and start building your career in a supportive collaborative environment.
As a Project Management Placement youll gain real insight into how construction projects are planned managed and delivered working alongside experienced Project Managers on live projects across a variety of sectors.
Key Responsibilities
As a Project Management Placement at RLB youll support the delivery of projects from inception through to completion. Youll gain exposure to all stages of the project lifecycle while developing key professional skills in planning coordination communication and problemsolving.
This placement will help you build a strong foundation in project management best practice equipping you with the knowledge and experience needed for a future career in the built environment.
Your day-to-day could include:
- Supporting Project Managers with the planning coordination and delivery of construction projects
- Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of project programmes and schedules
- Helping to track project progress actions risks and issues
- Supporting the preparation of project reports for clients and internal stakeholders
- Attending internal and client meetings to observe project governance in action
- Assisting with stakeholder coordination across design teams consultants and contractors
- Supporting document control and ensuring project data is accurately maintained
- Learning to use RLBs project management systems and digital tools
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the project management team
Who were looking for
Were looking for people who are curious motivated and ready to learn. Youll be studying towards a degree in Project Management Construction Management Engineering or a related discipline.
A genuine interest in how construction projects are planned and delivered is key.
