We are seeking highly motivated professionals (NATO Grade 15 and 10) to join our Human Resources Management (A1) Division to play an active role in ensuring the efficient execution of all aspects of personnel administration with focus on Local Wage Rate (LWR) personnel.
ABOUT YOU
You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and compliant execution of all personnel administration activities for LWR personnel while serving as a trusted advisor to both staff and management. The role requires solid knowledge and practical experience in the application of German labour law Tariff Agreements and the Federal Employee Representation Law.
At the higher grade the position also includes supervisory responsibilities and demands a high level of expertise in Host Nation laws and regulations and experience in Social Security Legislation.
For both grades a strong command of the German language is essential as daily tasks involve direct communication with local employees and close coordination with relevant Host Nation your day-to-day work you will apply your comprehensive knowledge of personnel administration and management supported by extensive experience in office administration practices.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential
University degree in human resources management business administration law social sciences or related field public administration or related discipline or Higher secondary education and completed advanced vocational training in that discipline (with more extensive/profound experience);
Experience in application of German labour law Tariff Agreements Federal Employee Representation Law and employment practices (to include in-depth understanding of contracts termination disciplinary processes collective rights working time leave social security etc.)
Experience in personnel administration and personnel management;
Professional experience in office/general administration practices;
Experience in application of Personnel Regulations;
Working/Advanced knowledge of Automatic Data Processing (ADP) systems;
A good command of English and German languages.
Desirable:
Profound experience in application of Social Security Legislation;
Practical experience applying German labour law knowledge in complex organizations;
Change Management skills acquired through actively supporting (or leading) organizational change in legally regulated environments;
Experience engaging with works councils trade unions staff representative bodies and legal advisors etc. ;
Managerial/Supervisory responsibility.

YOUR TEAM
The Human Resources Management (A1) Division ensures effective workforce planning and personnel management for both civilian and military staff. It handles talent management external training and implements policies that align with the goals set by the NAEW&CF Commander or Chief of Staff. The Division also manages the Central Processing Centre and promotes NATOs policies on gender diversity and inclusion. You will be part of the Civilian Human Resources Management Branch that provides and executes all aspects of Human Resources Management for civilian personnel employed by NAEW&CF.

CONTRACT
Serving civilian members of NATO will be offered a contract in accordance with the NATO Civilian Personnel Regulations. Newly recruited staff will be initially offered a definite duration contract of three years. Thereafter an indefinite duration contract might be offered.
