Job Summary
Receives and handles cash and cash instruments accurately in order to properly reflect the revenue generation of retail operations designed to serve our customers. The cashier is under the supervision of the Service Coordinator or Manager in Food and Nutrition Services. Performs one shift 1-5 days per week 4-10 hours per day subject to overtime and callback. Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Responsibilities
- Processes transactions from beginning to end through knowledge of cash register operation pricing practices and policy mathematical skills and customer observation to assure proper accounting for goods sold and good customer relations.

- Participates in PIP through knowledge in PIP and quality initiative indicators to improve public food service and budgetary performance.
|
- Maintains good client relations by exhibiting knowledge and methods of customer service to guarantee customer satisfaction.
|
- Participates in the PIP process by evaluating standards products or procedures to improve public food service.
|
- Performs sanitation and other work activities through knowledge of policies and procedures to assure cleanliness and smooth functioning of the department.

- Communicates pricing through referring to the master price list and current menu pricing to inform the public and assure proper and consistent charging for goods.

- Completes assigned goals.

Education
Description: Skill in communicating clearly and effectively using standard English in written oral and verbal format to achieve high productivity and efficiency. Skill to write legibly and record information accurately as necessary to perform job duties.
Minimum Required: Knowledge skills and mental development equivalent to completion of 4 years of high school or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience
