Junior Finance & Accounting Specialist (Dutch-speaking)

A global leader in insulin delivery and diabetes technology is seeking a Dutch-speaking Junior Finance & Accounting Specialist for their team in Porto Portugal. Your Role

Document Processing: Accurately process customer orders and various financial documents within strict deadlines.
Invoicing: Generate and review invoices and credit notes ensuring full compliance with internal policies and standards.
Closing Support: Assist with cash applications reconciliations and the month-end/quarter-end closing processes.
Discrepancy Resolution: Monitor outstanding payments follow up on collections and resolve any identified financial discrepancies.
Customer Interaction: Handle financial inquiries from customers and escalate complex technical or billing issues as needed.
Data Integrity: Maintain precise financial records in ERP systems and provide support during internal and external audits.
Process Optimization: Collaborate with cross-functional departments to enhance financial accuracy and operational efficiency.

Your Qualifications

Education: Bachelors degree in Commerce Accounting or Finance.
Languages: Fluency in Dutch (spoken and written) and advanced proficiency in English (C1 level).
Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in Finance & Accounting or similar operations; 25 years of experience (specifically in O2C roles) is considered a major plus.
Technical Skills: Strong command of MS Excel (including v-lookups and pivot tables); familiarity with ERP systems (SAP Oracle or NetSuite) is highly advantageous.
Analytical Mindset: Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and a proactive customer-focused approach.
Principles: Solid understanding of core accounting and finance principles.

Contract: Permanent contract with a 90-day trial period.
Schedule: Full-time Monday to Friday (09:0018:00) providing a healthy work-life balance with weekends off.
