Project Overview PTSS C5ISR Hardware & Software Program

The Lockwood Group is seeking a Software Quality Assurance and Tester to support a C5ISR hardware and software effort for a U.S. Army customer located at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) MD. This program provides engineering programmatic and lifecycle support to enhance mission-critical command control communications computers cyber intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance (C5ISR) capabilities in support of Army modernization priorities.

Position Overview

The Software Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst / Tester will support quality assurance and test activities for C5ISR hardware and software systems within a Government program office environment. This position will assist in validating system functionality supporting verification and validation efforts and ensuring software and integrated systems meet performance reliability and compliance requirements.

The role requires experience supporting DoD weapon systems development and acquisition programs with the ability to operate effectively within structured engineering and test environments.

• Write and deliver monthly reports on testing procedures and results to support client-driven software development.
• Troubleshoot software devise innovative solutions and document resolutions for knowledge sharing.
• Implement test procedures for vendor applications (Cisco Palo Alto Aruba) to ensure compliance with specifications prior to government witness testing.
• Identify integration issues and vulnerabilities report findings and provide improvement recommendations for future system design.
• Develop Master Test Plans Software Test Plans Test Descriptions and Test Reports to meet CMMI Level 3 requirements.
• Collaborate with the Software Development team to align products with customer needs and requirements.
• Design and execute manual and automated tests (white box black box gray box) to evaluate quality speed and functionality.
• Convert manual test cases into automated cases using PowerShell and VBS.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience

• Minimum 5 years supporting the Department of Defense contracting market in major weapon systems product development and acquisition programs

• Experience supporting software quality assurance testing verification or validation activities

• Active DoD Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting C5ISR or tactical network systems

• Familiarity with Army acquisition lifecycle processes

• Experience supporting system integration labs developmental testing or operational test events

• Experience supporting programs located at Aberdeen Proving Ground
