As a Process Modernization Associate you will partner directly with operations teams that support the firms wealth management business. This role will lead end-to-end assessments of existing workflows technology stacks and control frameworks using AI alongside traditional process improvement methodologies to deliver actionable recommendations toenhance efficiency mitigate risk and improve service.
Key Responsibilities
Process Discovery & Analysis
- Conduct structured engagements with operations teams tomap and document current-state processes including manual workflows system dependencies and data flows.
- Develop and utilize a standardized organizational taxonomy to identify and solve for cross-functional patterns and inefficiencies
- Perform detailedprocess mining and data analysisto identify bottlenecks redundancies and failure points.
- Evaluate the existingtechnology stack(platforms tools integrations) for fitness-for-purpose scalability and alignment with strategic objectives
Control & Risk Assessment
- Identifycontrol gapsand areas of elevated operational risk including key person dependencies manual reconciliation points and exception-handling weaknesses.
- Assess processes against Goldman Sachsoperational risk framework regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with Compliance Risk and Technology teams to ensure recommendations align with the firmsrisk appetite and regulatory obligations.
Solution Design & Recommendations
- Develop a comprehensivefunctional roadmap that articulates:
- Current-state process maps and pain-point analysis
- Control gap inventory with risk ratings
- Prioritized recommendations for improvement:
- AI integration(e.g. AI integration with existing technology stacks use of firm AI platforms use of advanced structured prompts)
- Low-code / no-code automation(e.g. workflow orchestration ETL RPA)
- Strategic technology uplift(e.g. platform migration API integration data infrastructure)
- Behavioral and procedural change(e.g. revised SOPs training organizational design adjustments)
- Measurements(e.g. KRIs KPIs dashboards reporting)
- Business case estimates including effort cost and expected ROI
- Designtarget-state operating modelsthat improve service reduce cycle times and mitigate risk.
Stakeholder Engagement & Change Enablement
- Serve as atrusted advisorto operations leaders building consensus around modernization priorities.
- Facilitate workshops interviews and working sessions with front-office operations and technology stakeholders.
Qualifications
Required
- 3 yearsof experience in process improvement management consulting business analysis or operations transformation preferably withinfinancial services
- Exceptionalanalytical written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill complex operational issues into clear executive-ready deliverables.
- Demonstrated expertise inprocess mapping methodologies(e.g. Lean Six Sigma BPMN) and operational risk assessment.
- Ability to query data using SQL and perform data analysis to identify patterns trends and actionable insights
- Thorough understanding of AI prompt best practices risks and human-in-the-loop design
- Experience evaluating and recommendinglow-code automation and visualization solutions(e.g. Alteryx Knime Tableau Qliksense Microsoft Power Platform)
- Familiarity with application design fundamentals (e.g. APIs UX design 3-layer architecture)
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent engagements and navigate amatrixed organizational environment.
Preferred
- Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt).
- Strong understanding ofwealth management operationsincluding account onboarding trade processing cash/asset movements reporting and client servicing.
- Experience withprocess miningtools(e.g. Celonis Signavio UiPath Process Mining).
- MBA or STEM related degree
