Seaver Autism Center for Research and Treatment
The Seaver Autism Center Department of Psychiatry offers comprehensive assessment and care for people with autism spectrum disorder and otherneurodevelopmental disorders. Our multidisciplinary team of experts uses genetics molecular biology model systems neuroimaging and experimental therapeutics to treat each patient. We also provide opportunities to participate in an integrated series of research studies aimed at understanding the causes of autism spectrum disorder and otherneurodevelopmental disorders anddeveloping treatments. We actively collaborate with members of the research community at Mount Sinai as well as with various institutions and consortia throughout the U.S. and the world.
We are looking for a talented enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our team as a postdoctoral fellow and contribute to the novel research being done in the Seaver Center and at Mount Sinai. The postdoctoral fellow will work under the supervision of Dr. Joseph Buxbaum and will be responsible forusing developmental and molecular neuroscience methods applied to genetically engineered mouse models to understand the mechanisms underlying neurodevelopmental disorders. The postdoctoral fellowwill be responsible for experimental design data collection data analysis and data interpretation. Research duties include data acquisition analysis and interpretation publication in peer-reviewed journals and presentation at national and international conferences.

Qualifications
Minimum Education
