Job Summary
ASSYST is seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Developer to support our client in Austin TX (Onsite - Hybrid)
This role is focused on the end-to-end design and implementation of robust scalable and secure web-based applications. As a senior-level contributor you will bridge the gap between complex backend logic and responsive frontend interfaces ensuring high performance and a seamless user experience.
Position will be 3 days remote with 2 days (Mon & Tues) required to be onsite at Austin TX.
Please Note: Program will only allow candidates who are LOCAL TO THE AUSTIN AREA ONLY (Within 50-mile radius).

Core Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of J2EE-based web applications utilizing modern frameworks to meet business requirements.
- Architect and build intuitive responsive client-facing interfaces using React or Angular ensuring cross-platform compatibility.
- Design develop and integrate RESTful Web Services while implementing industry-standard security protocols including JWT and OAuth to protect application data.
- Utilize SpringBoot and other open-source Java frameworks to create maintainable scalable microservices and integrated Single Page Applications (SPAs).
- Champion code quality by following best practices in application performance scalability and long-term maintainability.
Minimum Required Skills & Experience:
Candidates must possess at least 8 years of documented experience in the following:
- Expert-level development of web-based applications using Java/J2EE.
- Advanced frontend development using React or Angular.
- Proven track record in API design development and integration into SPAs.
- Extensive hands-on experience with SpringBoot.
- Implementation of JWT OAuth and related security technologies for RESTful services.
- Experience implementing applications within JEE Application environments.
- Building client-facing applications that adapt to various devices and screen sizes through responsive design.
- Deep understanding of application design patterns performance tuning and scalability.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience with JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP).
- At least 5 years of experience working within Agile Development Methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
