Job Duties:

The Department of Accountancy at the University of WisconsinLa Crosse is hiring a 9-month Lecturer to begin August 2026. This is a non-tenure-track instructional position is a non-redbook position that may be renewed based on the needs of the department. Our students CPA exam pass rates consistently surpass the national average. Come join a collaborative community of teachers focused on student success.


A successful candidate will be able to teach introductory financial and managerial accounting and an upper-level accounting course depending on his/her experience and the departments needs. We are hiring one candidate from this recruitment.


The College of Business Administration (CBA) at the University of WisconsinLa Crosse includes six academic departments and the Small Business Development Center. The CBA has over 3000 students enrolled in one of its eight majors. It also offers seven minors and participates in the UW Systems online MBA consortium. Fully accredited by AACSB International the CBA is recognized for high-quality faculty staff programs and students and maintains strong regional and global partnerships. A robust Assurance of Learning program regularly evaluates undergraduate and graduate outcomes supporting accountability and continuous improvement.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates classroom online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses including assessment of student performance
  • Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction
  • Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in accounting CPA license and significant professional accounting experience or
  • Masters degree in accounting or
  • MBA with an undergraduate degree in accounting or
  • significant progress toward a doctorate degree in accounting
  • Teaching and/or professional experience in accounting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Evidence of the ability to be an effective instructor
  • U.S. CPA license or other relevant certification
