Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Retail Roverin Sunnyvale TX you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine rounds and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support guests and store teams with strong communication access awareness and clear reporting using a computer and/or tablet as needed. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to customers tenants and store leadership by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents alarms and customer concerns in a calm problem-solving manner documenting observations and actions taken per site requirements.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail sales floors common areas loading and receiving areas parking areas and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
- Monitor access points and service corridors helping to verify authorized entry for employees vendors and/or contractors and directing visitors to appropriate locations.
- Complete routine reports and communicate timely updates to supervisors and site contacts regarding security-related issues maintenance hazards and/or policy violations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 years of security-related experience.
- Have at least 1 years of armed security-related law enforcement and/or military experience.
- Be 21 years of age.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Have X-Ray screening experience preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
