Note: This job is located in Tulsa OK and does require some on-site days.

The School of Social Work has an outstanding opportunity for an Hourly Program Assistant to join their team.

The Program Assistant supports the successful implementation of the Wakaya Project by assisting with day-to-day administration logistics and program delivery. This role works closely with the Program Manager and broader project team to ensure programming runs smoothly participants are supported and project operations remain organized responsive and culturally grounded. The Program Assistant plays a key role in maintaining communication coordinating logistics and supporting land-based and community-centered activities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide administrative support for program operations including scheduling documentation data entry and tracking deliverables
  • Assist with planning and coordination of land-based activities workshops and events
  • Support participant engagement including communication with youth families and community partners
  • Coordinate logistics such as transportation supplies meals and materials for programming sessions
  • Assist with preparation of program materials agendas and reports
  • Support data collection attendance tracking and basic evaluation activities
  • Maintain organized records in alignment with institutional and funder requirements
  • Provide on-site or virtual support during program sessions as needed
  • Collaborate with program staff to identify operational needs and troubleshoot issues as they arise
  • May provide informal support or coordination assistance to volunteers youth leaders or short-term contractors as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

High school graduation or equivalent and two years of clerical experience.

Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements such as a license certification and/or registration.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 13 years of relevant experience in program support community-based work youth programming nonprofit administration or related fields
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities youth programs or land-based initiatives is strongly valued
  • Lived experience in Indigenous rural or community-based contexts
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with diverse stakeholders
  • Comfort working in dynamic outdoor and land-based environments
  • Willingness to travel and participate in multi-day programming as needed
  • Ability to work flexible hours including occasional evenings and weekends
  • Basic proficiency with digital tools (Google Workspace spreadsheets email virtual meeting platforms)
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed culturally grounded or land-based programming models
  • Experience supporting youth or community wellness initiatives
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative working style
  • Interest in storytelling media or creative approaches to community engagement
  • Basic experience with data tracking reporting or evaluation tools

Compensation Benefits and Position Details

Pay Range Minimum:

$21.77 hourly

Pay Range Maximum:

$26.31 hourly
