Anesthesiologist opportunity in Phoenix AZ
A full-time opportunity is available for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Anesthesiologist to join a busy academic clinical practice in the Phoenix metro area. This position practices at
a community-based university-affiliated teaching facility designated as an ACS-verified and State-designated Level I Adult Trauma Center and an ABA-verified Burn Center.
Clinical Practice Scope
The anesthesiology team supports a diverse and high-acuity case mix including:
- Labor & Delivery
- Neonatal and general pediatric surgery
- General and robotic surgery
- Neurosurgery
- ENT
- Plastic and burn surgery
- Level I trauma
- Orthopedics and podiatric surgery
- Special procedures outside the operating room
Additional highlights:
- Approximately 11000 anesthesia encounters annually
- TEE equipment available for perioperative and critical care patients
- In-house call requirement of 45 shifts per month
This role includes active supervision and teaching of:
- Emergency Medicine and Surgery residents
- CRNAs and student nurse anesthetists
- Medical students
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
- Ability to manage high-acuity adult and pediatric patients
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
- Flexibility in a fast-paced academic environment
