A Boilerman position is concerned with the smooth operation of all steam boiler hot water calorifiers and associated machines and equipment within the company premises.

What will I be doing

Specifically you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Performs efficient preventive maintenance works on all steam boiler hot water calorifiers and associated machines to avoid

  unforeseen operation interruption.

• Ensure all work carried out should be in schedule and fully comply with local safety rules and regulations.

• Dosing of chemicals for water treatment on the boiler as per specifications provided.

• Attend to complaints on urgent repairs as requested through phone calls without delay.

• Record operating machine readings on log sheets daily and whatever work carried out into the communication book.

• Assist Engineering staff on other trade whenever called upon.

• Incorporate permanently as a member of the safety fire drill.

• To carry out shift duty split duty or when called up from time to time.

• Maintain boiler room tools equipment and all related Engineering areas in a clean and neat condition at all times.

• Keep the Senior Section Engineer / Assistant Maintenance Manager informed of happenings in the boiler room.

• To monitor spare parts/supplies.

• Responsible for all the system undertaken by Engineering Department.

• Performs any special duties assigned by the Duty Engineer / Assistant Maintenance Manager
