Value Chain Optimization (VCO) is seeking an experienced Strategic MidTerm Planning Director to lead the development of integrated midterm material balances enterprise business plan inputs and scenariobased economic analyses that inform longrange strategic and commercial decisions. This role will oversee the alignment of maintenance and turnaround plans with commercial strategy and logistics readiness evaluate alternative timing and asset availability through scenario modeling and identify valuechain constraints that guide strategic planning and investment sequencing. The Director will deliver midterm profitability outlooks project and capital investment economics and fully integrated valuechain assessments that incorporate refining logistics commercial and pricing impacts. The ideal candidate will also lead and develop highperforming planning and optimization teams while advancing digital capabilities through PPIMS XPIMS DPO and predictive analytics to strengthen forecasting accuracy scenario precision and enterprise value creation.

This position supports the West region and is based in San Antonio TX.

• Leads development of midterm integrated material balances that align market scenarios asset capabilities logistics constraints and valuechain economics.

• Produces enterpriserelevant business plan inputs by translating strategy into volume targets crude selection logic production expectations and margin guidance.

• Synchronizes turnaround (TAR) and maintenance planning with commercial strategy inventory resilience and logistics readiness to maximize enterprise value.

• Runs scenariobased economic analysis to evaluate alternative maintenance timing asset availability and market conditions and identify valuemaximizing options.

• Identifies and prioritizes valuechain constraints through modeling and analysis informing strategic planning constraintremoval initiatives and investment sequencing.

• Provides midterm profitability outlooks using LP and scenario models to support commercial planning asset utilization and margin optimization.

• Develops project and capital investment economics by modeling volume pricing throughput and logistics sensitivities under evolving market conditions.

• Ensures enterprisewide valuechain linkages in economic analysis by integrating refining logistics commercial and pricing impacts into planning outputs.

• Leads and develops planning economics and asset optimization teams embedding modeldriven planning governance and learning loops across regions.

• Advances digital and analytics capabilities by leveraging PPIMS XPIMS DPO and predictive tools to improve forecasting accuracy scenario precision and investment prioritization.

• Bachelors degree required.

• Ten (10) years of experience in the oil and gas industry required with five (5) years of experience in Economics & Planning or Commercial required.

• Three (3) years of leadership experience managing teams in planning economics or optimization functions required.

• Integrated Business Planning & Profitability - Develops mid-term integrated business plans that balance market opportunities asset capabilities and logistical constraints translating strategies into crude selection logic production expectations and value chain targets

• Business Acumen - Applies knowledge of MPCs business industry and the marketplace to advance the organizations goals. Makes decisions and recommendations clearly linked to MPCs strategy.

• Strategic Outlook - Examines issues generates ideas creates future scenarios and develops plans with a long-term perspective. Ensures short term goals support long-term strategy and that organizational/functional strategy align with and supports MPCs overall business strategy.

• Performance & Investment Outlooks - Supports profitability forecasts and investment decisions by modeling mid-term margin scenarios informing capital deployment sequencing and aligning forecasts with operational and strategic goals

• Leadership & Organization Development - Drives collaboration with near-term short-term and economics planning peers to ensure horizon handovers screen deviations from value chain plans foster planning excellence and strengthen business continuity preparedness
