Job Summary

As Philanthropy Manager you will lead the implementation of the Universitys major gift strategy shaping highvalue fundraising initiatives that drive longterm philanthropic impact.

You will guide meaningful engagement with donors who have the capacity to make significant contributions ensuring their interests align seamlessly with the Universitys research student and community priorities.

In this role you will:

  • Develop and implement a targeted major gift program managing a portfolio of highvalue donors and securing significant philanthropic commitments.
  • Build and steward strategic relationships with individuals corporates and foundations overseeing cultivation solicitation and complex negotiations that lead to transformational giving.
  • Lead donor engagement strategies crafting compelling proposals and equipping staff with the tools and insights needed to advance key fundraising opportunities.
  • Partner with senior leaders to identify impact stories shape campaign priorities and progress opportunities for significant philanthropic investment.

This continuing position is full time and will be located at the City Campus (Awabakal land).

How will you inspire us

You will have:

  • Extensive experience in major gift fundraising or a related field with a proven record of meeting income and engagement targets through a donorcentred approach.
  • Strong strategic negotiation and relationshipbuilding skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage complex philanthropic discussions with sound judgement.
  • Exceptional communication capabilities demonstrated success in developing persuasive proposals and the confidence to lead highlevel engagement that results in securing significant gifts.

The remuneration for this position isHigher Education Worker Level 8 17%superannuation and is commensurate with skills and experience.
