As a Security Officer - Unarmed Day Patrol in Brooklyn NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a high-visibility government location you will conduct routine foot patrols remain present to help discourage security-related incidents and respond to concerns with calm clear communication. You will document observations support access control and assist visitors and staff with professional customer service. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers employees and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of platforms mezzanines entrances stairwells elevators employee areas and perimeter spaces to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and/or operational concerns.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas verify identification and/or credentials as required and report unauthorized entry attempts according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including disputes medical calls and service disruptions and request assistance from appropriate personnel as needed.
• Complete patrol logs incident reports and daily activity documentation and communicate relevant observations to site management and/or public agency partners.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
