Job Summary:The Autism Clinic Staff Psychologist PT provides counseling services to individuals and families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and associated mental health concerns through comprehensive evaluation and intervention services on a part time basis.
Additional Department Summary:The University of Alabama Autism Spectrum Disorders Clinic (UA-ASD Clinic) provides support to individuals and families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and associated mental health concerns through comprehensive evaluation and intervention services research opportunities and professional training and in-services for parents and professionals. The clinic serves clients and their families between the ages of 18 months and 22 years of age. Additionally clinical services are provided for students enrolled at The University of Alabama.
Required Minimum Qualifications:Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and three (3) years of mental health experience. Psychologist License in the State of Alabama in good standing; OR licensed in another state and licensure eligible in Alabama with the ability to obtain within one (1) year of hire if coming from another state or province.
Skills and Knowledge:Proficient communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with psychodiagnostics assessments and treatment.
