Position Overview

We are seeking a BI Developer to design and implement enterprise reporting solutions within a State Government agency. The selected candidate will build data models and dashboards to support executive and operational reporting needs. This role requires experience transforming complex datasets into meaningful visualizations.

Key Responsibilities

Develop interactive dashboards using Power BI or Tableau.
Design data models and implement DAX calculations.
Optimize report performance and refresh schedules.
Collaborate with data engineering teams to align reporting structures.
Conduct performance tuning and root cause analysis.
Document report specifications and data mappings.
Support testing and production validation activities.
Maintain data accuracy and governance compliance.
Deliver reporting enhancements based on stakeholder feedback.
Participate in project planning sessions.

Required Qualifications

5 years of BI development experience.
Strong experience with Power BI and DAX.
Experience building enterprise dashboards.
Advanced SQL skills.
Experience working with structured data warehouses.
Strong documentation and collaboration skills.
Ability to troubleshoot performance issues.
Experience in regulated environments.
Strong communication skills.
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting State Government agencies.
Experience integrating cloud-based data platforms.
