This role supports a large data-intensive application development initiative focused on airline fare and pricing technology. The platform is being built using cloud-native technologies.
As Scrum Master III you will lead Agile delivery efforts drive Scrum best practices and support the organizations ongoing Agile transformation. You will guide large cross-functional teams through sprint execution release planning and continuous improvement while promoting accountability transparency and high-performance delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Agile Leadership & Transformation
- Facilitate adoption implementation and sustainability of Agile processes and Scrum practices
- Lead Agile scaling initiatives beyond the team level
- Act as a change agent supporting teams and stakeholders in their Agile journey
- Promote accountability transparency and continuous improvement across teams
- Mentor Agile practitioners and contribute to Communities of Practice
- Develop training materials and deliver Agile coaching across the organization
Scrum Execution & Delivery
- Facilitate sprint planning daily stand-ups retrospectives and sprint reviews
- Track sprint progress using burndown charts and performance metrics
- Identify own and resolve team impediments
- Drive release planning and related ceremonies and communications
- Define and manage program-level metrics to measure team performance
- Support dependency management across internal teams and third parties
Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting
- Serve as a bridge between Business BA UX PM Quality Technical Architects and Development teams
- Build dashboards and executive-level reports (including presentations) to communicate delivery status
- Establish strong partnerships with business and IT stakeholders
- Advise leadership on Agile best practices and organizational roadmap alignment
- Foster collaboration innovation and speed across cross-functional teams
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
- Strong experience leading large cross-functional Agile teams particularly in cloud-native development environments
- Experience managing data-intensive application development projects
- Deep understanding of Scrum practices and iterative software development processes
- Proven experience driving Agile transformation at team and organizational levels
Technical & Soft Skills
Core Technical Skills
- Agile Development Lifecycle expertise
- MS Azure DevOps (ADO) or Jira proficiency
- Experience managing large-scale Agile teams
- Metrics-driven project tracking and reporting
- Understanding of cloud-native application development
Preferred Certifications
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or CSPO
- PMI-ACP (preferred)
- Cloud Practitioner certification (nice to have)
Key Soft Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and project tracking abilities
- Ability to influence and gain trust at all organizational levels
- Conflict resolution and consensus-building expertise
