Job Summary:
The Electrical Designer will be responsible for performing calculations and preparing complex design packages for construction adhering to technical specifications design criteria and industry standards. This role involves creating detailed drawings evaluating budgetary constraints and ensuring design accuracy and compliance. The designer will also collaborate with engineers and other designers manage record drawings and solve technical problems to maintain project schedules and deliverables.

Responsibilities:
- Independently prepare complex drawings schematic diagrams cable and conduit schedules equipment layouts and other design documents.
- Evaluate budgetary and schedule constraints and provide design alternatives.
- Identify and resolve potential design issues early in the process.
- Confirm the accuracy and completeness of drawings prepared by other designers.
- Ensure record drawings comply with configuration management policies.
- Coordinate design efforts with engineers and other designers on multi-disciplinary tasks.
- Expedite work independently while managing changing priorities.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Superior technical expertise in electrical design.
- Extensive knowledge of engineering principles construction techniques and design & drafting practices.
- Superior AutoCAD and Raster Design skills.
- Excellent knowledge of related design disciplines and their interaction in the design process.
- Ability to generate design solutions utilizing accepted standards and codes.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and multi-phase projects.
- Highly effective oral and advanced written communication skills.
- Flexibility in adapting to changing project requirements priorities and assignments.
- Associate degree or 2 years additional experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of applicable industry-related experience.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Ability to effectively use drawing management systems such as AutoCAD Vault.
- Demonstrated ability to view tasks logically and determine essential requirements.
