Job Summary:
The Respiratory Neuro Diagnostics RRT provides respiratory care to patients across various age groups including adolescents adults and geriatrics. The role involves administering medications managing ventilators performing diagnostic tests and ensuring effective airway management. The RRT must be open to floating to other campuses.
Location:Seattle Washington United States
Responsibilities:
- Administer inhaled medications such as Albuterol Atrovent Combivent Flovent and others.
- Manage ventilator settings including BiPAP CPAP and high-frequency oscillators.
- Troubleshoot high-pressure alarms and wean patients from mechanical ventilation.
- Perform airway management techniques including extubation intubation assistance and suctioning.
- Collect sputum specimens and interpret ABG results.
- Set up and manage various medication delivery systems and nebulizers.
- Perform Basic EKG.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) certification
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- NRP certification
- PALS certification
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- Experience in Adult Critical Care ED PICU or Peds
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience in Pulmonary Function Test Lab
Special Considerations:
- Must have been separated from any Providence-affiliated facility for at least 3 months to qualify as a traveler.
- First-time travelers are accepted.
- Weekend coverage is variable typically every other weekend.
