Job Summary
- Performs assigned nursing procedures for the comfort and well- being of the patients and any additional duties of functions for which a LPN is allowed by Louisiana state law and the organizations policy and procedures and/or as delegated by the RN.
- Assists RN with admission education discharge planning and discharge of patient including any necessary documentation.
- Monitors patients condition by making frequent rounds on assigned patients gathering data necessary to administer care administers appropriate care (including isolation-type environments) and properly and accurately documents such findings.
- Properly and accurately administers medication(s) as prescribed by Physician/NP after verifying with Physician/NP orders properly identifying the patient utilizing two identifiers (not the patients room number) and provides basic nursing care needs to patients (hygiene comfort nutrition etc.)
