This position is12 months/Limited Tenure position.
Performs a comprehensive ophthalmic assessment on ocular patients. Performs diagnostic tests as indicated or as requested by the ophthalmologist. Functions autonomously as part of an integrated team of ophthalmic support services. Performs patient education in regard to treatment of ocular conditions as well as preventative care.
High school education or GED. Two years experience as an ophthalmic have technical and diagnostic skills to perform a comprehensive ophthalmic assessment along with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. Must have effective keyboarding certification required. COT or COMT certification preferred.
