FacultyJob Duties:
Provide emergency radiology interpretation and consultation delivering evidence-based diagnostic imaging services for acute and inpatient conditions.
Interpret imaging studies including CT MRI ultrasound and plain radiography for emergency and inpatient patients.
Cover complex trauma stroke and acute care imaging utilizing strong subspecialty backup and collaborative resources.
Complete timely and accurate documentation and reporting of imaging studies to support continuity of care clinical decision-making and billing requirements.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including emergency medicine trauma surgery neurology and other services to support patient care and treatment planning.
Participate in departmental meetings academic seminars and faculty activities as permitted by clinical and academic responsibilities.
Instruct and mentor medical students residents and fellows in clinical and educational settings; provide coaching appropriate to the learners level and evaluate learner performance.
Engage in scholarly activity clinical research and quality improvement efforts aligned with the missions of the Department.

Education: MD or DO (or equivalent)
This position requires a formal degree in the cited discipline area(s) to ensure that candidates have the foundational knowledge and skill set required to perform the duties of the position. The level of degree is based on accreditation requirements institutional standards of academic and professional excellence alignment with peer institution benchmarks and contributes to the credibility and effectiveness of the role within the university community.
Certifications/Licenses:
ABR board certified/eligible in Diagnostic Radiology.
Eligible for licensure in Kansas and Missouri.
Work Experience:Completion of ACGME-accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency.
Preferred Qualifications:
Work Experience:Night or emergency radiology experience.
