The Role
The ABC is looking for a Radio Sub Reader to join our News this12-monthfixed-termroleyou will help deliverhigh-qualitynews content for NT audiencesacross live bulletins digitalplatformsandon-demandaudio. This isa great opportunityto work in afast-paced collaborative newsroom committed to high editorial standards.
The Job
- Producesub-editand read news content for radio andon-demandplatforms.
- Write and check stories for factual accuracy styleconsistencyand editorial quality.
- Presentlive to airradio bulletins to a high professional standard.
- Work closely with state and network colleagues to ensure strong coverage of Territory and metropolitan stories.
- Generate original ideas contribute to editorial meetings and supportcross-platformstorytelling.
- Maintain a strong awareness of localnationaland international news.
- Mentor team members whereappropriateand contribute to a positive collaborative team culture.

About You
Yourean accomplished broadcast and digital journalist with sharp subediting skillsstrongon-airpresenceand the ability to thrive in afastpacednewsroom.
Youllhave:
- Strong digital and broadcast journalism skills and experience in afast-pacednews environment.
- A proventrack recordas a meticulousfastandaccuratesubeditor able to rewrite copy to a high standard.
- Confident andaccomplishedon-airpresentation skills.
