Job Description
Were seeking a senior commercially focused lawyer to join a leading interactive entertainment business on a 12 month contract supporting the development marketing and global distribution of video games across console PC and mobile platforms.
This role partners closely with game studios publishing sales and marketing teams across the UK EMEA and the US providing pragmatic legal advice on complex international projects.
Key responsibilities
Drafting reviewing and negotiating game production development vendor and talent agreements
Advising on marketing and advertising campaigns including brand partnerships promotions live events and influencer activity
Acting as the primary legal contact for UK studio operations and day-to-day commercial matters
Supporting global distribution deals and platform agreements
Advising on technology and software licensing matters including open-source
Providing guidance on regulatory compliance including online safety digital services AI and product regulations
Collaborating with legal teams across the wider business on cross-divisional initiatives
About you
UK (or equivalent) qualified lawyer with 5 years PQE gained in private practice and/or in-house
Previous experience within the entertainment industry and/or a software or technology company with hands-on experience reviewing software licensing and commercial contracts
Strong commercial and transactional expertise with the ability to manage complex cross-border matters independently
Excellent communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
Organised pragmatic and comfortable working across time zones
This is a senior individual-contributor role offering exposure to globally recognised interactive entertainment products in a fast-paced creative environment.
Please note this role is inside IR35.
