Position Overview
Westbrook Toyota is hiring an experienced Used Car Manager / Buyer to lead our pre-owned operation. This role is ideal for a process-driven automotive professional who can source inventory work directly with customers and lead by example while developing a high-performing sales team.
Responsibilities
- Source and acquire used vehicles through trades direct purchases auctions and internal prospecting
- Appraise vehicles accurately and competitively
- Manage pricing merchandising and inventory turn
- Work with customers on appraisals purchases and deal structuring
- Train mentor and hold sales staff accountable to dealership processes
- Utilize DMS and CRM systems to prospect for trade equity and purchase opportunities
- Partner with Sales and F&I to maximize profitability and compliance
- Demonstrate leadership through professionalism customer engagement and accountability
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Used Car Manager and Buyer
- Strong appraisal and inventory management skills
- Finance & Insurance experience is a plus
- Ability and willingness to deliver vehicles when needed
- Process-oriented with strong follow-up and organizational skills
- Comfortable working directly with customers
- Working knowledge of dealership DMSCRM and lead managementplatforms
- Proven ability to coach train and lead sales professionals
