We serve the residents of Hamilton County in more ways than you may realize! As an HR Intern at Hamilton County you will contribute to the work of the Human ResourcesDepartment which supports the employees who serve the Hamilton County community every day. This position provides practical hands-on experience across several HR functions and the opportunity toassist with projects that improve operations enhance employee resources and support the Countys workforce. The internship offers an introduction to public service and the role effective human resourcespractices play in a public-sector environment. Summary of Job Duties: - Assists with a variety of HR projects that may support all areas of HRdepartment such as recruitment onboarding employee engagementemployee development HR systems labor and employee relations riskmanagement policy management benefits and wellbeing and otherdepartment initiatives. Helps update employee-facing resources compileinformation and prepare draft materials or summaries. Conducts basicresearch and supports project tracking and implementation activities. Thiswork provides developmental experience and broad exposure to how HR
programs and services support employees supervisors and departmentsacross the organization. - Assists with organizing and maintaining HR data records and documents tosupport daily operations. Helps review information for accuracy organizeelectronic files and maintain tracking tools and spreadsheets. Providesgeneral administrative and project support to the HR team by preparingmaterials organizing information and supporting assigned tasks whilemaintaining confidentiality. Through these activities gains exposure to coreHR operations data management and public-sector HR practices.
- Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance
- Perform other duties as needed
Minimum Qualifications: - Enrolled in Bachelors degree in Human Resources Public Administration or related field.
Hazardous Working Conditions: Minimal exposure to ergonomic risks associated with prolonged sitting computer use and repetitivemotions; occasional exposure to typical office hazards such as slips trips or minor equipment issues. Work Location and Hours: - 138 East Court St. Cincinnati Oh. 45202
- 20 Hour Work Week generally between core hours of 7:30-5:30
