AM Engineer (Java)

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented SRE L2 to support application development optimization and observability initiatives. This role combines support continuous improvement and monitoring responsibilities working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality secure and scalable solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Implement improvements required by the business across the ecosystem.
• Perform functional testing of implemented changes.
• Provide regular progress updates on assigned tasks.
• Collaborate with Product QA DevOps Release Management and development teams.
• Support deployments and contribute to secure high-performance and scalable code.
• Contribute to monitoring alerting and observability improvements.

Role Focus Breakdown

• 15% L2 Support:
  Ticket support and stakeholder communications.
• 35% Optimization & Troubleshooting:
  System optimization troubleshooting and gathering requirements to improve day-to-day operations and application performance.
• 50% Observability & Monitoring:
  Strong focus on observability including monitoring alarms dashboards and proactive system health management.

Qualifications :

• 3 years of hands-on experience using Java.
• AWS
• Kubernetes
• Java
• Optional: Helm Terraform
• Good understanding of the software design principles (refactoring SOLID design patterns)
• Good understanding of web applications and back-end systems functioning from end to end.
• Understanding of project lifecycle and operational experience: incident management change management release management.
• Well-developed analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
